NMLC is currently seeking new leadership with Executive Director Scott Wilber’s pending departure.

New Mexico Land Conservancy (NMLC) is an accredited, statewide, non-profit land trust and conservation leader in the Southwest. NMLC’s mission is to preserve New Mexico’s unique natural, cultural and agricultural heritage by helping people conserve the places they love at community, watershed and landscape scales. NMLC’s vision is clear and compelling: one million acres conserved, directly or in partnership with others.  Since 2002, NMLC has already protected more than 655,000 acres of high-conservation value land throughout New Mexico and southeast Arizona, and raised over $50 million in public and private funding in support of these efforts.

NMLC seeks a talented, collaborative and passionate Executive Director to lead and oversee the fundraising, finances, and administration; conservation and stewardship programs; communications, outreach, public policy and advocacy; and organizational development, including executing the strategic plan and vision of the organization.  Based in Santa Fe, NMLC has an operating budget of $1.4 million and currently employs a staff of six.
