Cerro Bonito
Located about 11 miles northwest of Las Vegas, NM, this forested property consists of mixed conifers, primarily Ponderosa pine, interspersed with some Gambel oak. Bonito Creek bisects the property and riparian species thrive in its corridor. The property also provides forest and edge for numerous species of flora and fauna. The property is being used as a second home and managed for aesthetic and recreational purposes. No hunting is occurring, which seems to provide a haven for wildlife from the heavy hunting on the adjacent property. Grazing of livestock is prohibited on the property.
