Cougar Mountain Ranch
The Cougar Mountain Ranch is located along the southeastern flank of the Gallinas Mountains near the Village of Corona. The property consists of pinyon-juniper woodland, savannas and grasslands which provide natural habitat for mule deer, elk, pronghorn antelope, black bear, mountain lion and golden eagles. The property adjoins the Cibola National Forest. The property is currently being used for livestock production, and ecological and archaeological research. The property is part of an innovative conservation development and is also occasionally used for passive recreational uses by adjacent homeowners.
